Pakistan's WSJ Ad Now On Video...- India Real Time - WSJ

"It’s unclear where this new ad, which was posted Sept. 17 on YouTube,  has run and what it cost to produce."

"On Sept. 10, Pakistan ran this advert in The Wall Street Journal to promote its counter-narrative to the U.S.’s version of what is going on in the war against terrorism.
The U.S. says Pakistan is harboring Taliban militants. Pakistan maintains that it’s losing thousands of soldiers fighting them.
Now, Pakistan has produced this slick video version of the ad, complete with a native English voice-over and dramatic Hollywood music.
The original print ad was commissioned by the Pakistan government. Some in the government said it was the army’s idea but the military denied that. Some government officials opposed the ad, which cost $38,000 to run in the WSJ, saying it was a waste of money and likely to be interpreted in the U.S. as hectoring on the tenth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

It’s unclear where this new ad, which was posted Sept. 17 on YouTube,  has run and what it cost to produce. Attempts to contact Midas Pakistan Pvt. Ltd., the Pakistani ad agency involved in the original print ad, were not successful."
